To the woman who taught me to be fearless. To the woman who encouraged me to pursue my dreams and passion for travel.
My mother passed away on Feb 2nd this year. She (along with my Dad) always encouraged me to do what I believe in, to explore the world. Papilla has not been an easy venture to build like any other entrepreneurial endeavor, but my Ammu (Mom in Bengali) always told me that my hard work would pay off, and to never give up.
It is through her positivity and belief (in me) that I am staying strong and will continue to make Papilla what I envision it to be.
I am a result of her love for travel and exploration. I am a result of her persistence to ensure that her kids are strong and independent. Her teachings and morals stay with me everyday; and that will never die.
To all the Moms out there: thank you for your nurturing guidance, patience, and love.
To all the kids in the world: live life with thoughtfulness and appreciation. Live every day like it is your last, and show your Mom and Dad how much you love them. I will do the same personally and professionally.
Happy Mother's Day!
