Since February, I have been testing out Papila’s concept by providing travelers with personalized advice on how to pack efficiently and appropriately for their destination. I have also provided them with culture and shopping tips before departing to encourage them to travel more and worry less.

Even though I have been traveling for business and leisure for the past few months, it’s now time for me to test my concept for myself. Without bias, I have provided myself with tips to Punta Cana, and I will listen to the advice that I tend to provide to others. We leave on Sunday for a one-week trip test. This trip test is also a personal journey for me. Too often we don’t take the time to reflect upon what we are doing in life, or our general purpose. This trip will not only serve as a much needed vacation, but will allow me to understand our traveler’s points of view, their preferences and expectations of Papilla.

Throughout this week I will post fun little antidotes about Punta Cana, and will reflect upon the quality of my tips so we make sure Papilla provides travelers with the best and most reliable packing/shopping/culture information for any destination imaginable.

Here's a sneak peak of what I expect to pack based on the tropical summer weather, my personal style, activities, and the culture within the Dominican Republic for seven days for women. Men's tips are coming soon (we didn't forget you).
