Philadelphia is a vibrant city rooted in American history, thriving in art, world class cuisine, and culture. Locals and tourists are reminded of historic milestones by way of Independence Hall while embracing the seasonal pleasures of local traditions that take place at Penn's Landing.
Weather: The four seasons are quite a splendid scene in Philadelphia, which makes it a gorgeous place to visit year round. Flowers are blossoming in the spring and rich autumn colors illuminate in the fall, which make these seasons the optimal times to visit. Expect snow fall in the winter months, and hot humid days in the summer time. Yet your time to visit solely depends on your preferences.
Basic Style Etiquette for Men and Women: Clean and casual. Men and women can transition a nice pair of jeans from the daytime through the evening.
Culture: Philadelphia is the US’s first and only World Heritage City, which means a lot of exciting things are happening to highlight art, heritage, cuisine, sports, tech, and so much more. Each neighborhood is diverse and unique, but people are willing to help you find where you need to be, so don’t hesitate to approach people with questions as you explore around the city.
Art Museums: Anytime is the perfect time to visit the Rodin Museum, where the works for French sculptor Auguste Rodin are elegantly displayed. The Barnes Foundation is equally impressive with works from Renior, Picasso, and Van Gogh among other many well known post impressionist, and early modern artists.
Penns Landing: Enjoy Penn’s Landing any time of year. In the summer, there are hammocks and food trucks; in the winter, there is ice skating and “lodges” with adult cold-weather beverages.
Safety Tip: The subway does not run past midnight; be mindful of your surroundings and take a cab if it gets too late at night.
